Our innovative internship opportunities vary, but all include a combination of on-the-job training and an introduction to the culture at Marriott International. Standard programs last 8-12 weeks but can extend to 12 months or longer in certain locations.

Build upon your classroom studies through our Hotel Internship Program opportunities. Learn first-hand about a hotel’s operations no matter where you are in the world. Hotel internships allow you to truly experience the industry from the ground up, where our founders and many of our leaders began. Get immersed in Marriott’s culture and business, and find your true calling in the travel industry.

HQ Fellowship / Internship Program

The Marriott HQ Fellowship/Internship program provides undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to connect people through the power of travel. The program includes curated learning paths, career growth and development opportunities, informative programming with access to executives, and exposure to real business challenges faced by Marriott leaders. Participants are onboarded each summer at our headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. Internship opportunities are sometimes available in regional offices as well.

I was offered a Voyage position in the food & beverage outlets at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn and am excited to continue growing through Marriott as a professional and an individual.

During my internship I had a lot of opportunities to learn and grow, which have allowed me to fulfill my role as HR Coordinator today. My favorite parts of my job include hosting employee birthday parties and participating in community service – I can do what I love to do even when I’m at work. During my internship there seemed to be a new challenge everyday, but there was always someone willing to guide me. What I valued most was the trust my fellow associates placed in me. It went a long way in building confidence in my abilities. After seven months of training, I was hired into a new position, which has enabled me to use the service and technical skills I acquired during my internship. I have grown to appreciate the importance of hands-on training and have gained a better meaning of the word “experience” and its irreplaceable importance to the hospitality industry.
